1 Corinthians 7:17-35 was our text today.

- List 3 major distractions you deal with in general.

- List 3 major distractions you deal with in your spiritual life.

- Can we live how God wants us to without distractions?  Would God command us to do something that cannot be done—
Matthew 6:33?

- In
1 Corinthians 7, Paul repeats several times the idea to remain as you were when you were called.  Why does he repeat
that?  What does that mean for you?

- It was mentioned in the message that being a follower of Jesus is a “present tense” kind of life.  Read
1 Corinthians 6:9-
11.  What does it mean to live a “present tense” kind of life?  Does “present tense” living excuse or allow us to sin?

- As you read
1 Corinthians 7:17-35, is marriage called a distraction?  What does it mean for the married person as it
regards full devotion to the Lord?

- Consider the list of what the Lord Jesus went through to save us.  Is it OK with Him to have our devotion divided more
than it already is?

- We avoid distractions by knowing Jesus and proclaiming the Gospel.  How do these two things help us be more fully
devoted to the Lord no matter what our marital state?
