1 Corinthians 7:36—8:13 was our text today.

- Think of an experience when your actions were questioned by another believer.  What was your response?  Was your
response based on love or on self-interest?

- How much work would it take for you to consider the good of others before your own good?  If “not much”—is there
room for improvement?

- Read
1 Corinthians 7:39 and 2 Corinthians 6:14.  Is it God’s will for believers to marry believers, or is marrying a non-
believer allowed?  Why?

- Have you ever used knowledge in a way that did not show love?  What was the result?

- Read
1 Corinthians 8:4-6.  What is it about THIS knowledge that helps us know how to use knowledge?

- Read the following passages.  What is our responsibility to one another?
John 15:9-14       1 John 2:9-11       1 John 3:16-24

- Review 1 Corinthians 6:20 and 7:23.  Talk about what the words “Lord” and “Master” mean.  How does this help you
decide to lay down “your” life for others?

- Think of 3 things you can do this week to love others.  Will you do it?  Read
Matthew 16:24.
