Our text this Sunday was 1 Corinthians 11:2-16

Please read the passage and discuss the difficult points of the message.

- Is the point that women ought to wear head-coverings?

- What is the point?

- What is your opinion of the impact of the women’s liberation movement of the 1960s and 1970s on society, the home,
the church and what is proper and what is not?

- Read
Genesis 1:26-2:25.  Talk about the image of God—is it shared by both men and women?  Discuss how that
corresponds to
1 Corinthians 11:7.

- Women—what are your main objections (if any) to the possibility that head-coverings might be part of the life of a female
follower of Jesus?

- Men—what are your main objections (if any) to the idea that head-coverings might be part of the life of a female follower
of Jesus?

- Read
1 Corinthians 11:13.  How do the words “Judge for yourselves” impact this discussion?  Is this permission for one
person to tell another person what to do?  What does “judge for yourselves” mean?
