Our text this Sunday was Isaiah 9:2-7

- Talk about or think through your relationship with your earthly father.  Does it or has it helped or hindered your
relationship with your Everlasting Father?  How?

- (NOTE—discussing issues of the Trinity are difficult—have patience and love for one another!)  Is Jesus the Savior the
Everlasting Father?  Read the following and discuss.
Deuteronomy 6:4   Isaiah 9:5-7   John 8:58; 17:11
Colossians 1:27

- Read
Hebrews 12:6-11.  What do you learn about the discipline of God?  Do you honestly experience God’s discipline?
How?  If not, what do these verses say about you?  What do you need to do?

- We are to “honor father and mother” (
Exodus 20:12).  Does this command apply to our Everlasting Father?  Do you
honor Him?

- Disobedience to God grieves Him (
Ephesians 4:25-32).  List all the things you can recall that our Everlasting Father seeks
and desires for us as His children.  Do you really want to bring grief to your Father who loves you like this?

- How are you going to live as a child of God in ways that show your love and devotion to your Everlasting Father?  How
can you live that way—where do you get the ability?
